Zegna opens Negozio boutique in Monaco

Zegna has opened its debut Negozio boutique in Monte Carlo, a new store concept that it has already introduced with openings in Taormina, Astir Marina, and Puerto Banús, key resorts in Italy, Greece, and Spain, respectively.

The founding family feted the opening on Wednesday evening with a cocktail and dinner hosted by Gildo Zegna, CEO and chairman of the Ermenegildo Zegna Group, and Angelo Zegna, CEO of Zegna EMEA and global client strategy director.

A reflection of Zegna’s refreshed identity under the artistic direction of Alessandro Sartori, the new Negozio prioritizes contemporary design principles—meaning a bright space with minimalist finishes and furniture elements.

The Negozio—Italian for shop—is primarily dedicated to Luxury Leisurewear: a collection defined by exquisite fabrics and versatile silhouettes, where each piece prioritizes comfort and refinement. It features walls alternating between fine-troweled plaster and open-pore, lacquered ash wood paneling—both in the ivory tone that has become a characteristic of Zegna’s aesthetic.

Alongside these soft ivory hues is a range of colors pulled from unique artworks included in the “Born in Oasi Zegna” book. Published by Rizzoli in 2024, it offers a visual tale that recalls more than 100 years of heritage through beautiful imagery and inspiring anecdotes. These works have been adapted for use in the Negozio, drawing on the rich colors and atmosphere of Oasi Zegna—a 100km² natural Alpine park developed by founder Ermenegildo Zegna that expresses his vision of harmony between people and nature.

The retail space is enriched with details in burnished brass and Canaletto walnut, resulting in a sophisticated yet comfortable environment where the colors of the Luxury Leisurewear collection are given ample room to breathe. To represent the meeting point between innovation and craftsmanship, the Negozio is home to Zegna X, a state-of-the-art 3D-style configurator that allows clients to create their dream wardrobe.

Offering 49 billion potential combinations of clothing and styles, Zegna X allows customers to order and receive their unique choices worldwide in less than four weeks, effectively bridging the gap between physical stores and digital channels.

Situated just a stone’s throw from the waterfront and the world-renowned Casino de Monte-Carlo, the store is centrally located at 7 Avenue des Spélugues—a high-end shopping street.

The new boutique also offers access to the latest menswear collections—notably the Il Conte jacket, the versatile Alba Overshirt, timeless formalwear, the iconic Triple Stitch shoe, and the Moccasin, a new signature loafer.
