G-III partners with Aldo for licensing deal for G.H. Bass brand

G-III Apparel Group and Aldo Group announced on Thursday a new licensing agreement for the heritage American loafer brand G.H. Bass.

Under the new deal, Aldo Group’s Aldo Product Services (APS) will design, manufacture and distribute and sell the Massachusetts-based brand’s footwear, bags, and small leather goods, according to parent company G-III.

The seven-year licensing agreement gives Aldo the rights to distribute G.H. Bass products across authorized retail channels in North America, including the management of the brand’s e-commerce platform, with the partnership debut set for the Spring/Summer 2026 season.

The new collection will showcase a curation of the brand’s iconic pieces while featuring innovative, heritage designs, in a bid to capture new consumers, according to a press release.

“We are thrilled to embark on this strategic partnership with Aldo Product Services, which will extend the reach of our globally recognized and iconic brand, G.H. Bass to a broader consumer base,” said Jeffrey Goldfarb, EVP at G-III Apparel Group.

“Aldo’s expertise in footwear, along with their extensive supplier network and proven omnichannel capabilities, will strengthen the presence of G.H. Bass by offering an expanded range of products both online and in-store.”

Aldo Product Services will leverage its extensive global supply chain, manufacturing expertise, wholesale partnerships, and direct-to consumer digital networks to further elevate G.H. Bass’s presence in the market.

The partnership also looks to solidify Aldo’s position as a leader in the footwear and accessories industry.

​Established in 1876 by George Henry Bass of Wilton, Maine, G.H. Bass was acquired by G-Ill in 2013.
The New York-based parent company also owns DKNYKarl LagerfeldDonna Karan and Vilebrequin, and licenses over 20 brands including Calvin KleinTommy Hilfiger, Nautica, Halston, Converse, BCBG and National Sports leagues, among others.
